Dr Lindsey Burns has been a Chartered Psychologist for over 20 years and a Practitioner Health Psychologist for over a decade.  She is a member of the British Psychological Society Divisions of Health Psychology and Coaching Psychology, and additionally holds membership of the International Society for Coaching Psychology and the UK Society for Behavioral Medicine.

 

Health Psychology and Coaching:

As a Health Psychologist Lindsey works with individuals to support behavior change and wellbeing in both personal and work lives.  She is experienced at working with clients on issues relating to women’s health (for example, menopause), neurodivergence, the management of chronic health conditions, exercise and weight loss, stress management and sleep.

 

Lindsey has extensive experience working as a Health Psychologist and in training Health Psychologists having spent three years as the Programme Director of the Doctorate in Health Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University where she is currently Senior Lecturer in Health Psychology.  She is on the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors and as such offers supervision to both trainee and qualified Health Psychologists.

 

Her research and publications focus on Health Psychology and Performance Psychology, and she has recently co-authored one book on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Routledge, and another on training and supervision in Psychology. Lindsey is also the Co-Editor of the Journal Health Psychology Open.

 

Business Coaching:

In addition to her PhD in Occupational Health Lindsey has a MSc in Occupational Psychology, and a Diploma in Corporate and Executive Coaching giving her a thorough understanding of the business environment and issues associated with corporate culture.  She has worked successfully with individuals, teams, and organisations. Lindsey has experience of Corporate and Executive Coaching and enjoys working with clients on leadership and management issues, wellbeing at work, return to work or adapting to new working patterns, and improving team performance.  She works with both groups and individuals on work related issues with a particular focus on neurodivergence in the workplace. 

She is also on the Register of Qualifications in Test Use with the British Psychological Society with expertise in investigating health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Approach:

Lindsey uses a variety of approaches to work with clients, finding the one that best suits their needs using a collaborative working style.  These include cognitive behavioral, solution focused and goal-oriented approaches.

 

Fees:     

Lindsey charges £75 per session for self-funding clients. Please contact us for details of fees for employers and organisations.
