Dr Hannah RANALDI
Practitioner Health Psychologist and Director of Health Psychology Scotland
Have you noticed that, despite resting, eating well, or trying to stay positive, your body doesn’t recover the way it used to? You may be living with ongoing symptoms such as pain, fatigue, digestive issues, disrupted sleep, or low energy, and finding that stress or worry often make them worse.
You’re not alone, and it makes sense. The mind and body are deeply connected, and when stress is ongoing, it can affect mood, energy, and physical recovery.
As a Chartered and HCPC-Registered Health Psychologist, I help people understand and work with this connection. Together, we explore how thoughts, emotions, and everyday habits influence health, and use evidence-based approaches to calm the stress response, support recovery, and build small, sustainable changes that help you feel more like yourself again.
I've worked across healthcare, academia, and private practice, supporting people to adjust to diagnoses, recover from burnout, and regain confidence in managing their health. Alongside my clinical work, I lecture in Health Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University, ensuring my practice remains grounded in the latest scientific evidence and delivered with compassion and care.

My Approach
My work is guided by evidence-based psychological therapies recommended by clinical guidelines, including:
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
-
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
-
Person-Centred Therapy
-
Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Together, we’ll use these tools to help you:
-
Understand the links between stress, symptoms, and behaviour
-
Reduce anxiety, pain, or fatigue by calming your body’s threat system
-
Build confidence and motivation to make sustainable behaviour changes
-
Reconnect with your values and priorities for a richer, more meaningful life
Coaching and Reflective Work
I also offer health and wellbeing coaching for individuals who want a structured space to reflect, set goals, and create change. For some, this is a single focused session to gain clarity; for others, it’s a longer, collaborative process to sustain motivation and accountability.
